Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology says it has taken delivery of school leaving certificates for pupils who graduated in twenty eighteen and twenty nineteen.
The Commissioner of the Ministry, Mr. Wemi Jones made this known while speaking on the Radio Kogi audience sensitization programme, State of Kogi to mark the World Teachers Day.
The Commissioner said heads of primary schools have been contacted to visit the Ministry for collection of the certificates.
According to him, the Ministry under his watch has done a situation analysis of the State of education, saying the challenges are currently being addressed.
He noted that the education law passed by the House of Assembly will been fully implemented as soon as Governor Yahaya Bello gives his assent.
Mr. Wemi Jones explained that the present administration is ready to change the narrative in the education sector especially in the of motivation.
He described teachers as critical stakeholders in nation building and congratulated them on the World Teachers celebration.
The Commissioner also commended teachers who took part in the Radio Teacher programme during the school closure for their professional display.
Some Callers, Olubo Ayo and Ibrahim Itodo both from Lokoja commended the Commissioner for taking proactive steps in the reopening of Kogi schools.
