Hon. Kilani Olushola Olumo of Ijumu Constituency while seconding the motion as moved by Hon. Ujah described Gov. Yahaya Bello as a symbol of ethnic unity and oneness.

Other parts of the motion reads;
“Whereas, North central Nigeria cannot continue to be the slave partner in Nigeria project, talking about geo-political zone to produce the next president who leads Nigeria at the expiration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term in 2023.
“That the constitution provides that there should be equality, socio-political justice for all Nigerian’s, particularly section 17, sub section 1 of the 1999 constitution (CFRN) states; “the state social order is founded on ideals of freedom, equity and justice”.
“Whereas, it is pertinent to note that three out of six geo-political zones created by the late General Sani Abacha for social economic and political equity, scheme in perpetuity to be the men on the horse back; while the North central and other two zones had remain on their kneels as beasts of burden forever.
“Whereas, the counsel here is that all Nigerian political leaders should return to their drawing boards in 2023 and patriotically reversed the injustice and in equality of making North central the footstool of the superstructure of domination at the Centre.
“That this contention is pillard on the sacrifice the zone made recording the highest number of causalities of its gallant soldiers that fought the civil war on the side of the federal government.
“The role played by Joseph S. Tarka’s United middle belt congress (UMBC) the late chief Solomon Lar, General Yakubu Gowon, General T.Y Danjuma and others.
“Produced for out of the 14 senate president in Nigerian political history namely; Sen (Dr.) Iyorchia Ayu, Sen. Ameh Ebute, Sen. (Gen) David Mark and Sen. (Dr.) Bukola Saraki.
“Whereas available statistics by INEC shows that 81% of the registered voters in the country are youths from 18 to 50 years of Age. And that this youths have the capacity to make Nigerian attain its set target, hence the resolve that Alh. Yahaya Bello the youngest Nigerian Governor fits into that bracket of what Nigerian want at the age of 40 in 2015.
“Whereas, his leadership style widely adjudge to be youth friendly and gender sensitive with over 90% was domesticated in all the Local Government Areas of the state having realized that youths are the strengths of nations as endeared him to president Muhammadu Buhari who has always supported youth to excel.
“Whereas the clarion call on the governor by people from the six geo-political zones to run and succeed president Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 stems from their conviction that he has done it in Kogi State and therefore see him as the man the country needs to change its fortunes.
“The Rt. Hon. Speaker, my distinguished honorable colleagues, the social economic contribution of the zone in industry, power generation, mining, agriculture and others are very intimidating and it is an accepted fact that the South West and the North West hardly won any presidential election without the support of the geo-political zone.
“Therefore 2023 should be a year of political compensation with the presidency ticket for the north central and by extension to His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello, Executive Governor, Kogi State.
Be it resolved by this Honorable house as follows:
“1. That a strongly worded resolution of the House be passed urging His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello, Executive Governor, Kogi State to contest for the Office of President in 2023.
“2. That as a matter of utmost importance, The Rt. Hon. Speaker should lead the entire Hon. Members to present the House resolution to the governor.
