Iyara Development Movement Visits Ijumu Council Boss, Hails Appointment of Sons and Daughters of the Community

The National Executives of Iyara Devepment Movement IDM led by its President, Alhaji Aliyu Badaki on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alhaji Taofiq Isa in his office at Iyara

The visit was the first since the Chairman was elected in December last year and after the new Executives came on board same month.

Speaking during the visit, the National President of IDM, Alhaji Aliyu Badaki congratulated the Local Government Council Boss on his election victory, describing his emergence as an act of God.

He praised Alhaji Taofiq Isa for honouring Iyara sons and daughters with sensitive appointments in his cabinet, saying the Community was grateful for the opportunity.


The National President also described the election of the Executive Chairman as the Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria ALGON as well deserved and a reward of loyalty and hard work.

He urged the Chairman to use his tenure to give Iyara which is the headquarters of the Local Government a face lift like other Local Government headquarters in the country.

While praying for a successful tenure in good health, Alhaji Aliyu Badaki assured of the support of IDM for the realization of his vision.

He also enjoined the community to appreciate the efforts Sen. Smart Adeyemi for Iyara by giving him maximum support to enable him do more.

The Council Chairman, thanked the IDM Executives for the visit, noting that Iyara is the first Community Development Association to visit him since assuming office last year.

He assured the community of his continued moral and financial support

The Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Alex Ropo Ibikunle in his remark extolled the leadership style of Alhaji Taofiq Isa, describing him as a blessing to humanity.

Hon. Ibikunle commended the Chairman to being proactive to issues of security and urged him not to relent.
