AFUKOH COMMUNITY RETURN TO GOD IN PRAYERS.

The Afukoh community which comprises of Nukpis,Kabong,Gwash and Gwafan Districts of Jos North Local government area,organized a one day prayers for the land and her illustrious son. The prayers and thanksgiving which took place at the Church of Christ in Nations(COCIN) Local Church Council,Shere Hills with the Theme: Rebuilding the broken walls of Afukoh, Jeremiah 2:1-20 in his homily,Reverend Yohanna Shangtok of Baptist Church Gwafan,urged the Afukoh to bury their hatchets,sheathe their swords and move together as a team, he further admonished them to forgive one another.
The walls of Afukoh are in ruin and seeking for who to rebuild it,Nehemiah was the one that built the Wall of Jerusalem and it was destroyed.
The various groups presented their songs rendition at the service,other highlight was the prayers by Rev. Dr. Amah Ishaku Kabong for the political appointees and civil servants. Reverend Rev. Joshua Pikada,Provost of the Baptist College Lamingo offered special prayers for Peace,security and unity of Afukoh people. In his message,the secretary to the government of the state,professor Danladi Abok Atu charged the Afukoh community and Izere nation as a whole to come together and build the future. Said they should use the easter period for sober reflection and forgive one another just like Christ forgive us and sent his son Jesus Christ for our sake,the SGS was represented by the former management committee chairman of Jos North Local government Area,Hon. Theresea Daniel Azi,the programme climaxed with the Presentation of rice to the aged,widows and other less privileged
