DR, ABUBAKAR CHARGES OJO OGIDIBEJE COMMUNITY TO TAKE OWNERSIHP OF THEIR HEALTH CENTRE.

The Executive Director Kogi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Abubakar Yakubu has called on the Ojo Ogidibeje community in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State to take full responsibility of the center for the benefit of their people.

Dr. Abubakar made the call at the official commissioning of the Health Centre in Ofu Local Government Area.

The Director who was represented at the occasion by the Director Administration and Finance , Mr.Nuhu Baba said the Health Center would go along way in addressing the health need of the community and asked them to jealously guard the facility against vandals and criminal elements in the society.

Dr, Abubakar who thanked Dr, Stephen Yusuf for renovating the clinic, urged the Local Government to post qualified and committed staff to the center for quality health care services.

In his address, the North Central Zonal Coordinator of National Primary Health Care Development Agency Dr. Utibe Urua Abasi thanked the community for the project; saying that the National Primary Health Care Development Agency is always available to assist communities with project that would address the health need of the people.

He called on them to make adequate use of the facilities at the center; noting that the center would be open for Maternal Care, Antenatal Care, Immunization etc.

Also speaking, the Supervisory Councilor for Health Ofu Local Government Area, Hon. Shuaibu Baba promised the commitment of the local government towards making sure that the clinic is well equipped and qualified staff posted to manage the center.

In his welcome address, the HOD Health Ofu LOocal Government Area. Mr, Aminu Urengbodi promised that the health center would work for 24hours as capable hands would be deployed to the center for effective service delivery.

Also speaking, the community leader of Ojoogidibeje community Mr, Kadiri Husseini called on the local government administration to post committed staff to the center and connect it to the National Grid to enable the clinic work for twenty four hours (24h).

Highlights of the ceremony was the commissioning and handing over of the center by the North Central Zonal Coordinator of National Primary Healtnnh Care Development Agency Dr. Utibe Urua Abasi to the Kogi State Primary Health Care Development Agency.
