EASE OF DOING BUSINESS COMMITTEE CHARGED TO INVOLVE RELEVANT STAKEHOLDERS
The recently inaugurated 12-man committee on ease of doing business by Governor Abdul Rahman Abdul Rasaq of Kwara state has been urged to involve all relevant and critical stakeholders in the business sector in proffering enduring solutions to all challenges impeding accelerated investments in the State.
A Stakeholder and Financial Secretary of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Hajia MADINAT ADIGUN- OLADOTUN made the call in Ilorin while reacting to the inauguration of the 12-man committee by the State Governor.
Hajia MADINAT ADIGUN- OLADOTUN who is an Executive Director Marketing/Public Relation Manager of Trendsville Media Limited explained that the need became imperative, as these critical stakeholders in the business sector of the state have first hand account of what Business Owners are experiencing, for it to live up to its potentials of driving innovation and attracting new investments to the State.
The NIPR Financial Secretary explained with delight that the main functions of the Committee will no doubt greatly assist in identifying and resolve critical issues confronting Business and Entrepreneurship sectors in the State.
According to her, the move is a major step towards improving the economy of the state and advance business of Citizens and lauded the State Chief Executives for his efforts towards improving the economy of the State, by supporting business owners, since the inception of his government, since in 2019.
She however observed that one single representation of the Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA) on the committee was grossly inadequate, in view of its strategic importance, in the attainment of the task and enjoined the 12- man Committee to actively involve critical stakeholders like Manufacturers Association of Nigeria(MAN), National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises(NASME), the State Chapter of Artisan Congress(KWACO) and the State Ministry of Energy, as well as other bodies, to fast track the attainment of the objectives of initiating the 12 – man Committee on Ease Of Doing Business in Kwara State.
