HON. KILANI OLUMO VISITS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION TECHNICAL, KABBA

The Honourable Member representing the vibrant people of Ijumu State Constituency – Hon. Kilani Olusola Olumo, visited the prestigious College of Education Technical, Kabba, with other members of the House Committee on Education, Science and Technology.

Hon. Kilani in the course of the oversight function, presented copies of the book titled : TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS IN NIGERIA written by Prof. Kayode Oyesiku, to the school management.

Kilani said, as a lover of education, and also in line with the Governor Yahaya Bello’s blue print on repositioning qualitative education in Kogi State, he believes these books would be of immense help to the students in their various academic activities.

The Ijumu representative reiterated his commitment to improving the reading culture of the students /youths. He said, “as legislators, working together with our principal Governor Yahaya Bello, we will continue to make policies that would have direct impact on the educational system of Kogi Students.”

Hon. Olumo promised to raise motions on the floor of the house for the infrastructural development of the college, including the access road which is in a deplorable state due to the rains.

The Provost, Mrs Victoria Jagboro while receiving the book donations, was very elated. She appreciated Hon. Kilani Olumo for his show of love toward the school /students.

Mrs Jagboro who conducted the members around the school premises used the opportunity to call on other well-meaning Kogites to emulate the kind gesture of Hon. Kilani, referring to him as a leader with a large heart.

Present were the Honourable Members of the House Committee on Education, Science and : Hon. Moses Akande – Member representing Ogori/Mangongo; Hon. Cosmas Atabor – Igalamela; Hon. Moses Ododo – Dekina/Biraidu; Hon. Rayi Daniyan – Bassa; Hon. Collins Musa – Omala.
