The aspiration of Olusegun Olorunnipa to represent Kabba/Bunu State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly come 2023 received a boost as more than ten ward Chairmen, Women leaders, Local Government Executives, Youth leaders, party secretaries and other key stakeholders were among the people that escorted him to the party secretariat in Lokoja to purchase his nomination and expression of form to contest in the forthcoming party primaries scheduled to hold on the 20th May.
Speaking to journalists shortly after he picked the forms, the highly elated young entrepreneur turned politician expressed his appreciation to God and party officials who in solidarity followed him to the party secretariat, stressing that their singular act has energized him to be more determined to provide unique and uncommon representation when finally elected into the Assembly.
He commended the national leadership of the party and Governor Yahaya Bello who is also the leader of the party in the state for their efforts to provide the enabling environment for young Nigerians like him to have a platform to participate in the political process for the overall development of the country.
He promised to participate actively in the process of law making that will promote good governance for development of the state when elected and pledged to uphold the legacy of his father which is politics of development across the fifteen wards of the Constituency, noting that his loyalty to the party will be absolute.
He appealed to the party delegates to give their support during the party primaries, promised not to let them down rather, he will make judicious use of the opportunity to take the Constituency to another level of development in all ramifications.
Also speaking the Chairman of Chairmen in Kabba/Bunu, Mr Saiye Sunday said it has become important for them to show support of the good qualities of Olusegun Olorunnipa, being a committed and financial member of the party who has been consistent in supporting the party. The desire of the young entrepreneur to make a difference which is in tandem with what APC as a party stands for, prompted their decision to give him the moral support to encourage him in his aspiration.
