Kilani Olumo Celebrates Christmas with Traditional Rulers in Ijumu


Hon. Olusola Kilani Olumo member Kogi State House of Assembly representing the very vibrant people of Ijumu Constituency has visited some traditional rulers in his Constituency as part of his activities to celebrate Christmas with them.

The first point of call was the palace of the Olu Ekirin Adde where he was received by many of his friends in the community among whom is Hon Adewale Omofaiye the Commissioner for Environment, also at the palace is the newly appointed VC of Federal University Lokoja Prof. Akinwunmi.

Hon. Kilani in his words said he was in the palace in the spirit of Christmas celebration to present gifts of a fridge and customized Diary to the Kebiyesi.

The Olu Ekirin Adde thanked Hon. Kilani for the visit while stating that the humility of the Honourable member is second to none urging him to continue with the good work.

At the palace of the Alaryere of Ayere Hon. Kilani said Ayere is home coming for him and he was in the palace to celebrate Christmas with the monarch.

He also presented a Christmas gift of a fridge and a customized Diary to the royal father.

The Alayere who was full of appreciation for the kind gesture of the Lawmaker stating that he is proud of him always.

Next point of call was the Ologidi of Ogidi’s palace, where he usually meet with all the traditional rulers in Ijumu, stressing that the Monarch is a very good father to him, who always pray and advice him always.

He then presented a fridge and a customized Diary as Christmas gift to the monarch.

The ologidi thanked and prayed for the parliamentarian.

Hon. Kilani Olumo ended the Christmas visit at the palace of the Olujumu of Ijumu land, where he thanked the Olujumu for his fatherly role and for maintains peace and tranquility in his domain.

The lawmaker also presented Christmas gift of a fridge and a customized Diary to the well respected monarch.

The Olujumu thanked him for always showing respect to the traditional institutions in Ijumu Land and for his love to them always, stating that the prayers of the traditional rulers are with him always.


On his entourage is his colleague from Ogori Mangongo state constituency and some APC stakeholders in Ijumu LG.
Part of Hon. Kilani’s activities on Christmas day was also a visit the Hon. Toyin Otitolaiye the APC Woman Leader of Ijumu LG where he presented her a gas cooker, while thanking her for her support always.

The woman leader thanked and prayed for the Assembly member stating he should continue his good work to Ijumu people.
