Kogi Chief Whip, Hon. Bajeh Empowers 500 members of his Constituents
The lawmaker representing Okehi State Constituency and Chief Whip of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Muktar Bajeh has empowered over 500 women, orphans and artisans with cash and working tools.
Distributing the items to the beneficiaries at his constituency in Okehi local government area of Kogi State on Saturday during his empowernment programme and celebration of his birthday, the lawmaker said that the empowernment was part of governor Yahaya Bello’s style of leadership that every elected or appointed officials should always deliver the dividend of democracy to their people.
He stated that over 250 market women were given the sum of ten thousand naira each to boost their businesses while 50 artisans in the field of welding were given welding and filing machine to improve on the trade.
According to him “My empowernment today cut across the needy, the widows, orphans , artisans, Okada ridders and the less privilege in my constituency.
“Over 200 women are empowered with the sum of #10, 000 each, over 50 welding and filing machine was distributed, Okada rides got #10,000 and helment each while Market women received #10,000 with umbrella each .
“I also extended the empowernment to petty traders to boost their businesses while disables were giving clutches to aid them in moving from one place to another just as over 100 youth received Cameras to assist them in their photography business”
While commending His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of Okehi State constituency, Hon. Bajeh thank Chief Abu for a jeep car gift , assuring that the birthday gift would spur him to do more for the people of his constituency.
He charged Kogi youth to be hardworking and make use of opportunities that may comes their ways to effect positive change in their lives.
The lawmaker also advised the youth to shun vices that are inimical to their future , assuring that Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration will touch the life of youth in the state.
“I am grateful to God . I am the youngest chief whip in the country. I thank Governor Yahaya Bello for uplifting me .
“I am calling on the youth to be hardworking and make use of any opportunity that comes their ways .They should shun all forms of violence and behaviour that can affect their future” he advised.
The Speaker of the House Rt Hon. Matthew Kolawole who was represented at the occasion by Hon. Omiata from Yagba East commended the lawmaker for extending hands of fellowship to his constituency.
He urged other members of the assembly to always remember their constituency in order to justify the mandate given to them by the electorate.

Kabiru Onyene, Hon. Omiata from Yagba East who represented the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon. Matthew Kolawole.
