KOGI Deputy Speaker calls on Ankpa Youths To Be Good Ambassador

KOGI Deputy Speaker calls on Ankpa Youths to be good ambassadors and contribute positively to the development of the community.

Deputy Speaker of KOGI State House of Assembly and member representing Ankpa 1 state constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has advised youths in Ankpa LGA to embark on activities that would enable them contribute to the development of the community, the state and enhance their well being.

The Ankpa 1 Legislator who made the clarion call to youths on Monday 8th February, 2021 in his hometown said that there is a need for youths to be digitally innovative in order to solve life challenges. He quoted that “Youths as the engine room of every society and they have all it takes to work for the overall good of their communities.

His remarks which reads in part; “Our youths need to be problem solvers, they should think digitally, critically and see how they can solve challenges. In Ankpa LGA, from our studies and critical observation, percentage of youths are engaged into entrepreneurship, while others are also into skilled labor, handiworks and some who for some reasons or the other are not either self employed, engaged with one thing or the other, and some constituting nuisance which must be curtailed with every means available with the law of the land.

We must engage our youths in critical thinking so that they can see the numerous opportunities in the digital economy and grab them immediately. Our youths must look, listen, analyse and project opportunities around their immediate environments,” the Deputy Speaker concluded.

He assured the youth of his willingness to always respond to their call when the need arose, saying; “I belong to you all and you all belong to me. I want you to relate with me on issues that border on your affairs and I will always be there for you”, he said.
