The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ankpa 1 constituency, Rt. Hon. This recurring cases of kidnapping in Ankpa LGA and the recent abduction of Alh Usman Shaibu is an embarssement to the all of us – traditional institutions, stakeholders, religious leaders and the entire people of Ankpa LGA. This has left bad taste in our mouths. We call on the abductors to release him unharmed, the abductors should know that royalty is not what one toil with as there are grave consequences in such act.

I am also calling on the security operatives to beef up security around our traditional rulers, and ensure that lives and properties of our people are safe, as we are approaching Christmas and new year holiday and many people are expected home to their loved ones.

I am confident in the dogged effort of the Government of Kogi State under his Excellency Alh Yahaya Bello in it’s fight against insecurity, and I am also calling on the chairman of Ankpa LGA to immediately act on this.

Signed;
Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed
