Kogi First Lady Hosts Women in Politics, Advises Them to Care For One Another

Kogi State First Lady, Rashida Bello has advised women to eschew hatred, envy and jealousy amongst themselves.

She gave the advice at the Get-Together meeting with women in politics across the twenty-one local government areas, organised by the office of the First Lady in Lokoja.

In her remarks, she said, the Governor of Kogi State, her husband, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has delivered on his promises by appointed women to man sensitive positions, made all local government vice chairmen, women, and wards Counselors’ Leaders women also.

The First Lady said the Governor also provided platforms for women to exercise their rights in governance without interference

She urged them to give back to the society that made them and to always remember the vulnerable and the needy in their communities.

Amongst the Vice-Chairpersons and top government functionaries who spoke at the event, appreciated the First Lady for her good gesture at ensuring women are being carried along at all times, noting that women have never had it so good in the state.

They promised to support the administration of Yahaya Bello and the APC decisions to make the state and the people better.

They also assured the First Lady of their readiness to go round the state and the country, Nigeria to canvass for supports for the Governor to be the next President, Nigeria will produce in 2023.

Present at the Get-Together were all the APC State women leaders, zonal coordinators, Female Appointees, Wives of Assembly members, wives of Male Appointees and all local government leaders.
