AHEAD of the forthcoming Local Government Elections in Kogi State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the rumour being peddled by an online medium as false stressing that the party is yet to fix cost of nomination forms for Chairmanship and Councillorship Aspirants.
The State Chairman of the APC, Hon. Abdullahi Bello made the clarification against the backdrop of the rumour making the rounds that aspirants seeking to contest for the Chairmanship position would purchase the nomination form at the cost of N1.1m while those seeking to contest for Councillorship position the report alledged would buy the forms for N550, 000.
But in a swift reaction, the APC State Chairman said no decision has been reached on cost of forms.
Hon. Bello made the disclosure in a chat with with newsmen on Monday in Lokoja said the party would hold its state working Committee today where decision would ba taken on cost.
He urged the party members to disregard the information, said the report is aimed at discrediting the grassroots appeal of the party in the state.
The Kogi State Council Polls would hold on the 12th of December, 2020.
