Kogi Speaker Mourns HRH Oba Michael Olutimeyin Ayeni, Sympathizes with Aiyegunle – Gbede Community over the demise of their Monarch

Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and Candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the 2023 General Elections, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole has received with shock, the news of the death of HRH Oba Michael Olutimeyin, the Olu of Aiyegunle – Gbede whose demise occurred early this morning.

He also sympathized and commiserated with the immediate family and people of Aiyegunle-Gbede Community in Ijumu Local Government Area over his demise, stressing that it is devastating and painful to lose such a prominent traditional ruler in Ijumu/Okun land whose activities towards the overall development of not only Aiyegunle-Gbede Community, Okun nation but humanity cannot be over emphasized.

He commiserates with the Olujumu of Ijumu and Chairman, Ijumu Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba Williams Ayeni, Chief Abiodun Ojo and other sons and daughters of Aiyegunle-Gbede Community over the death of their Monarch.

Speaker Kolawole said it is painful to have lost such a Monarch at this time when his wealth of experience and support is needed most in the community but takes solace in the words of God which says, there is time to be born and time to die as a mortal, praying that God will grant his immediate family and the community the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

It is on this note that Rt. Hon.(Prince) Matthew Kolawole, on behalf of his family, the people of Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, members, management and staff of the Assembly wish to sympathize and commiserate with the family and community on the death of their beloved traditional ruler, husband, father and grandfather, His Royal Highness, Oba Michael Olutimeyin, the Olu of Aiyegunle-Gbede.
