Lawi Expressed Sadness Over The Death Of Ohi Okene/Okengwe, Alh. Yakubu Yusuf*

The Lawmaker representing Okene l State constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed, described Ohi Okene/Okengwe, Alh. Yakubu Yusuf’ passing as a blow to the traditional institution.

Hon. Lawi in a condolence message he  personally signed, said: “We have lost a national hero who is an embodiment of humility, discipline, respect, statesmanship and exemplary leadership.

“His death leaves an indelible mark in the history of Kogi State.

“It is with a deep sense of agony that we receive the news of the demise of this rare gem and traditional leader of high repute.

“On behalf of the people of Okene l State constituency, I offer my condolences to the families of the late monarch and Kogi state government.”

“May Almighty Allah overlook his shortcomings and grant him a lofty place in Al-Jannah Firdaus. May Allah give the family the fortitude to bear the loss,” he prayed.
