LG POLLS: KOSIEC CHAIRMAN CHARGES STAFF ON DILIGENCE

In the wake of the Local Government election scheduled for December 12 in Kogi State, the Chairman of the State Independent Electoral Commission, Hon. Mamman Nda Eri has charged the staff of the Commission on diligence and availability to ensure a successful exercise.

Mamman Eri emphasized that no stone should be left unturned in the preparation for the exercise to ensure the staff are on top of the game during the period.

The chairman who was represented by the Director of Administration and Finance, Mrs. Lucy Abdullahi in a meeting held yesterday (Monday) said officers should acquint themselves once again with their various schedules ahead of the election to avoid confusion and ultimate delay.

He urged them to abhore rumor mongering; admonishing them to rather clarify issues where necessary before taking actions.

Responding, the staff members who pledged adequate preparation asked the management to incorporate them in the various committees constituted; saying they should be carried along as activities for the election unfold.

They also said upcoming officers in the commission should be well groomed on the job to ensure continuity.
