Ministry of Enviroment to collaborate with KWASU

Kwara State Ministry of Environment and the State University at Malete, (KWASU) are to collaborate for development and progress in the State.

The Commissioner of Environment, Mrs Funke Julainah Oyedun and the Vice Chancellor of KWASU, Prof. Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN gave this indication when the University administrator visited the Commissioner in her office.

Oyedun charged the university to focus on research on recycling waste strategies, building of toilet in rural areas to curb open defecation,beautification of the state forestry for tourism, among others.

She appreciated the VIce Chancellor for the visit which she noted would produce great achievements and benefits to the State.

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor of KWASU, Prof. Mohammed Akanbi said the university exist to serve the state and has expertise in converting waste products to energy.

He said KWASU seeks to partner with the relevant government agencies to help develop the state by bringing technical ideas for the betterment of state.
