Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Abok Ayuba, has urged Nigerians not to allow religious differences to divide them, saying religious should be used as instruments off strengthen the bond of relationship as the people of one indivisible nation.
Abok, harp on the need for religious leaders to educate their followers on tolerance, respect for one another and pray together in peace and harmony in order to overcome the socio-economy and sourge of insecurity in the Land.
The speaker gave the charge in his good will message to Muslims across the nation, on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir sallah celebration on Tuesday in Jos.
He noted that, the bond of unity and mutual understanding among the people could have not been more better than now considering the unbatting challenges in the country which had make it imperative for Nigerians to seek God intervention through prayers, adding that, prayers remains an indispensable and overall key in any Society seeking mercy and healing from Almighty.
The Speaker congratulated Muslims faithful for witnessing yet another sacred Month in Islam, one in which Muslims perform the Hajj.Holy pilgrimage as well as abserving the festival of sacrifice.
Rt. Hon.Abok Ayuba call on Muslim ummah to continue to emulate and uphold the virtue of holy prophet as well as extended hands of friendship with other religious in praying for peace, progress and development of the country.
The leader of the 9th Plateau assembly, stated that, the legislature would not compromise it constitutional responsibility of making laws, quality representation and effective oversights. He assured the people that the state assembly in the state would continue to work closely and in harmony with the excutive for the foreseeable future, benefits of the people and the good of the state.
While wishing Muslims faithful a happy Eid-el Kabir celebration, the Speaker appeal to all and sundry to rally round the incumbent administration of Right Honourable Simon Lalong the overall development of the state.
