It was a glorious day as St. Monica’s College Kabba celebrated her 46th graduation and prize giving ceremony.
The event which took place at the college hall in Kabba, the headquarters of Kogi West Senatorial district witnessed dignitaries from all walks of life.
The Principal of the incredible college, Mrs Dare-Dada Dupe gave glory to God for making the day a reality.
She said the successes recorded in the college was as a result of support enjoyed from notable personalities to include the college Proprietor, Bishop Martins Olorunmolu, the college Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Donatus Maria Bode Ogunleye, the team of St. Monica’s College old girls, her predecessors and the college teachers describing their support as superlative.
She appealed to them to continue to give their maximum support for the overall development of the college.
The Principal appreciated God for taken absolute control in curbing anxiety and insinuations about who takes over as the college leader during the transition period. Mrs Dare- Dada Dupe said the College has being living up to the expectations of the students, parents and the society at large, she assured that the college will continue to put in her best so as to sustain the feat.
She appealed to both the academic and non academic staff of the college to always work together so that they can achieve the needed result and charged them to always come up with new ideas, innovative technique and candid advice that will bring positive development and academic excellence to the college.
She congratulated the graduating students and urged them to be focused and always be the best in wherever they find themselves in the future.
The Principal highlighted some of the college needs to include Printer, Generator, School Bus, Sound System, Solar light, White Marker Board, Renovation of Class rooms, Sport Materials, Laptops, Air Conditioners, Office Furniture, Giant Ox Fan and Full Upholstery among others.
She appealed to spirited individuals, group, club and society to help in providing the various need for the college. In their good will messages, Mrs Olusola Jagboro, Dr. Abiodun Obaromi, Dr. Kadiri, Dr. Raph Arokoyo and set 84 charged the graduating students to continue to put in their best in wherever they find themselves and wished them well in their future endeavors.
Highlights of the program are cultural dance from Owe, Ebira,Igala,Tiv, Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba cultural group.
There were presentation of White Board by set 84. The initiation of the graduating students in SMOGA performed by the college old girls association and the launching of the college magazine”MONICAN TOURCH”
