Traditional Rulers To Collaborates with Local Govt Authority To Fish Out Hoodlums in Area


The Agwom Izere Jos chiefdom Emmanuel Ajik has assured that he will collaborate with the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North LGC Shehu Usman to fish out those who take cover under the ENDSARS protest to cause trouble within the area.
The royal father gave the assurance during a town hall meeting with his subjects at the Izere Arena in Jos.

The meeting brought stakeholders within Jos Izere Chiefdom where issues were discussed and solutions were proffered in the aftermath of tje crisis which followed Endsars protest.

The Agwom Izere described as unfortunate that the peaceful and well- intended protest by Nigerians Youths was hijacked by criminal elements to destroy public and private property.


He urged the stakeholders at the meeting to take the responsibility of securing their Communities seriously observing that it had become necessary for citizens to join hands with Government in the maintenance of peace and peaceful coexistence within their respective localities.

The Chairman Afizere Cultural and Development Association of Jos Izere Chiefdom Michael Izang and the Chairman Afizere Youth Movement Arin Izang lauded the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Bala Usman for directing Traditional and religious leaders to step down the message of Government, especially the Youths to embrace peace and not to engage themselves in any activities that would undermine the security of the area and assured of their readiness to compliment government efforts towards that caused.

Speaking on the development, Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Bala Usman commended the Agwom Izere Jos Chiefdom for stepping down the message to the people at the grass root, noting that his administration would continue to work closely with the Traditional institutions in the area to ensure peace and unity of the inhabitants of the area and called on Youth to be peaceful not to take into their hands.
