Two Eiye Confraternity Members Nabbed With Locally Made Pistol, Ammunitions in Delta

Police operatives in Delta State have yesterday nabbed two notorious arm wielding members of Eiye Cult Confraternity in Abraka axis of the state.

It was revealed by the Police Public Relation Officer ( PPRO) DSP Bright Edafe thar one of the suspects; Joseph Tejri ‘m’ 24yrs old was nabbed by Abraka Police Divisional patrol team while on stop and search duty along Agbara road Abraka.

Edafe disclosed that the suspect was intercepted with an unregistered Daylong motorcycle ridden by one Bala Abdul ‘m’ age 21yrs old carrying one Joseph Tejri.

It was further disclosed that one locally made cut to size single barrel gun loaded with one (1) live cartridge was recovered from the passenger.

During investigation, a search warrant was further executed in his house and premises where additional live cartridge was recovered.

Similarly, along Ugbedi road Abraka the same team in concerted effort with vigilante men arrested one Franklyn Awana ‘m’ age 20yrs, of Okpogoro Abraka.

The suspect was arrested in possession of a small locally made pistol and fourteen (14) rounds of live cartridges.

It was gathered that the suspects confessed belong to Eiye secret cult confraternity.

The suspects also confessed that the guns were handed over to them by their senior cult members;One Efe Awana ‘m’, and Sylvester Ovie ‘m’, Efeta who are currently at large.
