Kabba, Kogi State – Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, the 2023 Action Alliance (AA) governorship candidate in Kogi State, has defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Braimoh announced his decision to join ADC at a ceremony in Kabba, saying he seeks a platform to bring change to Kogi State’s leadership.
Braimoh cited ADC’s caliber of members as a key factor in his decision, believing the party can help actualize his vision for a new Kogi State.

He urged Kogites to join ADC, stating the party offers a better platform for leadership and contestation.
“Kogi state is underperforming considering its potentials and capacities.
The best of us haven’t had the opportunity to lead,” Braimoh said, emphasizing the need for visionary leadership.
ADC Kogi Chairman Hon. Kingsley Ogga welcomed Braimoh, describing his defection as a timely move. Ogga stated ADC is united, determined to deliver results, and ready to present credible leaders.
Braimoh was presented with an ADC membership card, symbolizing his official defection.
He encouraged citizens to obtain their PVCs and participate in upcoming elections, stressing that change requires active citizenship.
