2027: Senator Sunday Karimi Rally Support for President Bola Tinubu’s Re-election, Empowers Students with Bursary Award

Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District and Chairman of Senate Services, has taken a significant step towards promoting education in Kogi State while rallying support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

He recently launched the Tinubu Support Group Bursary Award for students in the East and Central Senatorial Districts of Kogi State, with over 1,610 students in tertiary institutions set to benefit from this initiative.

Aside the 1,390 beneficiaries drawn from the seven local government areas of Kogi West, who will benefit from the same initiative, being the second edition of his bursary award for students in tertiary institutions in the senatorial district.

The bursary award, according to the senator, aims to support the educational pursuits of students in Kogi State,  aligning with President Tinubu’s efforts to improve the nation’s education sector.

The Senator has continued to reiterate his commitment to supporting the educational development of the upcoming generations in the state, emphasizing that the bursary scheme is part of his efforts to contribute to the realization of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at enhancing education in the country.

The bursary application window is expected to opens from August 1st to August 31st, 2025, and eligible students can apply through the official website of the Senator.

The senator assured that each beneficiary will receive ₦100,000 to support their studies, stressing that the total package will amount to over ₦300 million.

This initiative builds on Senator Karimi’s previous efforts, including last year’s ₦100 million bursary award for 1,000 students of Kogi West origin.

The award-winning senator decided to expand the scope of beneficiaries to include the two other senatorial districts, demonstrating his commitment to supporting education across the state.

This initiative is expected to promote academic excellence, reduce the burden on struggling students, and contribute to the development of the state.

With this latest efforts, Senator Karimi has shown dedication to education and empowerment that have earned him recognition as a champion of progress and development in Kogi State.

His initiatives have positively impacted the lives of many, promoting economic growth, self-reliance, and sustainable development.

This latest initiative is a testament to his commitment to supporting education and empowering the youth in Kogi State, while also rallying support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
