Niger State Governor, Hon. Umaru Bago resumes state-wide project tour
The Governor of Niger State in the north central Nigeria, Hon. Umaru Bago has resumed the state-wide tour of all ongoing projects in the state.
According to information available to our news desk, the Governor will spend the next seven days supervising all the projects in Zone C, which comprises about 8local government areas, as well as some parts of Zone A.
His first stop was at Zungeru in Wushishi Local Government, where he inspected the ongoing 5km road project, which is part of the 556km road construction across the state.
The Governor noted that the one-sided drainage system on some sections of the road was unacceptable. He, therefore, instructed that drainage systems be constructed on both sides of the road. Despite this observation, he commended the quality of the work.
He also visited the Niger State/World Bank project, Nigeria for Women, groundnut processing mill in Unguwan Madaki. There, he expressed satisfaction with the progress made and announced that the state government would allocate more funds to interlock the environment.
