Why JRB Construction Gets Commendations from FG,

Twice in six months , the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the Minister of Works, Engr Dave Nweze Umahi has patted on the back of JRB Construction company, an indigenous company for carrying out a standard and befitting jobs on Nigeria roads, particularly on the hitherto abandoned for years Ogbomosho – Ilorin road in November, 2O25 after and recently a nationwide inspection and recently on Abuja -Keffi section of another road in January , 2026 and gateway to the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
Impressed by the performance and technical know how of the new construction company, JRB, the commendation came at a time when another construction company was rebuked and the Ministry’s official removed for conniving to carry out a shoddy on the same corridor.

Disturbed on assumption of duty on many Nigeria roads that was abandoned by contractors after collecting mobilisation and monies for the project, the Ogbomosho -Oyo road, the main corridor from the north to southern part of the country has given a sleepless nights to the Minister and his promise to ensure completion after more than a decade .
Aside abandoning the project by the previous contractors before revocation and re-awarded to JRB Construction company, the incessant deaths through accidents on the road was becoming frustrating to road users , passengers , commuters , Oyo and Kwara state government in recent times , with lost of valuable lives on the road .
This was in addition to the activities of criminals and high rates of crimes on the route , using the bad spot as an opportunity to shortchange many Nigerians .
But , six months after it was re-awarded, the Minister visit was encouraged by the performance of JRB that completed the road in record time , bringing relief to both road users and residents of the corridor.
The Minister’s commendation was earlier justified by the Chairman , House of Representatives Committee on Works who earlier with his team and committee members visited the road on on the spot assessment in the middle of 2025.
During the visit , he expressed surprise that indigenous contractor , JRB Construction company achieved so much speed and nearing completion of the road project, saying the indigenous contractors are out to compete favourably with the foreign ones.
The follow up inspection and stakeholders of Oyo and Ogun state reeled out alot commendations for JRB that was crowned by the Minister of Works, Engr Dave Nweze Umahi’s visit.
Not long away from Ogbomosho -Oyo road , Umahi also commenced the years programs, 2026 with projects site visiting, while on Abuja -Keffi road on the FCT corridor, he laid alot of remarkable comments on JRB Construction company, urging him to sustain the tempo, while rebuking the sister company handling similar project.
He declared that with efforts of JRB Construction company, no doubt will continue to attract patronage from the federal government on roads construction.
He maintained that with the pace and speed of construction and quality of work , JRB will continue to attract jobs not only from the federal government and other multinationals, saying sky will be the limit of the company.
He urged other Nigeria construction company to emulate the good jobs been carried out by JRB Construction company, but timely completion and high quality works .
JRB Construction company carried out earlier the remedial works on Dikko- Zuba -Tunga Maje-Gwagwalada roads and is currently undergoing the construction of over two decades Lokoja-Abuja abandoned end from Abaji- Gwagwalada road to make the roads to the FCT motorable and accessible.
The legacy of JRB Construction company an indigenous company will go along way living a lasting impression on the psyche of Nigerians and encourage continuous patronage on the part of government via the Ministry of Works.
