Polytechnic Rector leads Principal Officers on Congratulatory visit to Kogi Governor elect Ododo

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja. Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, has led the entire principal officers of the Polytechnic to pay a congratulatory visit on the Governor-Elect of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, assuring him of the Polytechnic’s support and loyalty to the in-coming administration.

According to a statement by the institution, Head, Public Relations and Protocol Unit, Uredo Omale noted that, the visit was also to thank God for a successful poll that brought Alhaji Ododo as the right man that would surely consolidate and continue on the good leadership foundation laid by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.

The statement quoted the Rector to have praised the Governor-Elect for his maturity, humility, peaceful nature which contributed to his election as the next Governor of the State.

While reassuring him of the Polytechnic’s unalloyed loyalty and support , Dr. Usman prayed God to lead Alhaji Ododo aright and bless him with the needed wisdom and direction to govern the State.

Alhaji Ahmed Usman, Ododo in his response appreciated the leadership of the Polytechnic for the visit and expressed his desire to lead the State in positive direction that would bring about more dividends of democracy to the citizenry.

Alhaji Ododo commended Dr. Usman for his laudable roles that ensured his victory at the poll, just as he described him as a true patriot of democracy and a believer of one united Kogi State.

“I will live to appreciate you, Professor Ogbo, your type is what we need to build a Kogi State that will be loved by all,” he said.

Alhaji Ododo noted that Kogi State has the potential to be a commercial hub,
citing its geographical location and connection with other states.

While reassuring everyone that he would not renege in his campaign promises which were all about uniting the State, Alhaji Ododo called on those who contested with him and all citizens to come and support him in building a more virile Kogi State that all would be proud of.

The Deputy Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Samuel Taiwo Olowo who spoke on behalf of other principal officers thanked the Governor-Elect for graciously granting audience to the Polytechnic, just as he prayed for him to have a successful reign as Governor of the State.

Highlights of the visit was the presentation of an art work (Peacock) to Alhaji Ododo which represents courage, strength, royalty and quality leadership.
