A devastating fire incident occurred at a market in Kano State, reportedly destroying goods and properties worth millions of naira, according to Democracy Newsline. The fire, which began in the late evening, left shop owners scrambling to salvage their belongings, but their efforts were ultimately unsuccessful.

One of the affected traders, Alhaji Hamisu Sabo, recounted the event, stating that he received a call around 7:30 PM on Saturday informing him of the fire. By the time he arrived, two shops had already been destroyed, though the situation appeared to be under control. He added that investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the fire.

As of the time this report was filed, authorities had not yet commented on the incident. Kano, known for its bustling textile industry, is a major hub for business in Nigeria and across Sub-Saharan Africa.
