A Leader Ahead of His Time: Why Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji Deserves Our Support
The Asiwaju of Ayere Kingdom, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Grosvenor Global Limited, and founder of Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation (PROOF), Prince Engr. Dr. Olatunji Olusoji, has become a phenomenon and a colossus in the political landscape of not only Kogi West but the entire Kogi State, considering his philanthropic gestures that cut across the length and breadth of the state.
Prince Olatunji Olusoji is not just a name; it has become a household name ringing a bell in the ears of all and sundry across the region where he was born and grew up. His debut in the political sector of Kogi State dated back to 2014 and 2015 when he contested for the Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency. Ever since, he has remained committed to the course of the people, though not too many people know him, but his works of humanitarianism speak volumes.
His current agitation is advocating for dialogue instead of confrontation on the 2027 governorship election in Kogi State. He has continued to say that there is no doubt about the fact that Kogi West/Okun people deserve to be Governor, but he appealed for the people to support and cooperate with the current administration of Governor Usman Ododo to complete his 8 years of two terms, then it will be ripe for Kogi West/Okun people to produce the Governor, assuring the people that Governor Ododo will not disappoint in fulfilling his promises.

He has also reiterated his position that Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke has a higher assignment at the national level, hence he will not come to contest the governorship election in Kogi State, urging the people not to be deceived by people who are using his name to cause disaffection in the state.
Asiwaju Olatunji is a leader with a proven track record, so instead of rallying behind him, some persons are castigating him for his good deeds. Olusoji’s credentials are impressive. A seasoned politician, he has served in various capacities, demonstrating his ability to deliver results. His passion for the development of Kogi State is undeniable, and his vision for the state’s future is both ambitious and achievable.
So, why the opposition? Some might say it’s a case of jealousy, others might attribute it to politics as usual. But one thing is clear – Olusoji’s emergence as a strong voice has rattled some cages.
The people of Kogi State deserve better than to be held hostage by petty squabbles and self-serving interests. They deserve a leader who has their best interests at heart, someone who can drive growth, development, and prosperity.
Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji is that leader. He has the skills, the experience, and the passion to work with the current administration led by Governor Ododo. It’s time to put aside differences and support a leader who can unite the state and drive progress. Let’s rally behind Olusoji for Kogi West/Okun people to get what they deserve.
