AAT University: Emir of Ilorin Charges Proprietor, Varsity Authorities on Innovation, Proactiveness and Consistency

The Emir of Ilorin,Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari has expressed confidence that AbdulRasaq Abubakar Toyin University would soon attain global status, in view of the world class facilities and calibre of man power in the Institution.

To this end, the foremost monarch has enjoined the Proprietor and the authorities of the newly established institution to be more pro active, innovative , focus and consistent in the task of fast tracking the attainment of the goals of establishing A Private Not- For- Profit University, for global Citizens.

The foremost monarch gave this indication in Ilorin, while receiving the founder and Chancellor of AbdulRasaq Abubakar Toyin University Oke Ogba Ganmo in his Palace.

Alhaji Sulu- Gambari who is the chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs described education as an antidote to poverty and security challenges, praised the foresight of Alhaji AbdulRasaq Abubakar Toyin for establishing the University in his ancestral hometown, which according to him, would increase indigent students’ access to world class university education in their localities.

The Emir explained with delight that Alhaji AbdulRasaq Abubakar Toyin has played significant role in ensuring socio- economic wellbeing of the people of Ilorin Emirate and enjoined other affluent people of Ilorin Emirate not to relent in using their endowments towards ensuring socio-economic emancipation of the people of Ilorin Emirate in particular and Kwara State in general.

Earlier, the Chancellor of the University, Alhaji AbdulRasaq Abubakar Toyin, accomplined by the Pro Chancellor and chairman of the Governing Council of the University, Professor Abdul Rasheed Na’allah and the acting Vice Chancellor of the Institution,Prof AbdulRauf Ambali, said he was in the Palace to seek royal blessings and advice of the foremost monarch,as the University according to him is about to commence full academic session .

Alhaji AbdulRasaq Abubakar Toyin assured that all the pieces of advice of his royal majesty would be put into effective implementation, to fast track the attainment of the noble aims of establishing the Ivory Tower.
