AAT VARSITY’s Ag VC, SAYS THE INSTITUTION ‘LL BE MORE RESPONSIVE TO THE MAN POWER NEEDS OF THE NATION

The Acting Vice Chancellor of Abdulrasaq Abubakar Toyin University, Ganmo, Prof. AbdulRauf Ambali,says the newly established university under his watch will be more responsive to the manpower needs of the nation and attain international standard within a short period of time.

Prof. Ambali gave the assurance today in Ganmo while receiving the hierarchy of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria, led by its Chief Executive, Dr. Uche Okereke.

The University head, who expressed delight over the goodwill so far enjoyed by the university, assured that the institution under his watch, would justify the essence of its establishment, pointing out that all hands are on deck to ensure that the first set of the university commences academic session this year.

He disclosed that world-class facilities have been put in place, pointing out that the National Universities Commission has so far slated 14 degree programmes for the take off of the Institution.

He commended the Governing Council and the Board of Trustees for the confidence reposed in him and promised to be a worthy ambassador of the institute in the task of making the university a toast for admission seekers across the globe.

The Vice-Chancellor, who said the institution is located in a serene environment, assured that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of students, staff, and facilities at the university, pointing out that no meaningful achievement can be recorded in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.

He therefore solicited the cooperation of the host community and other stakeholders in ensuring the accelerated transformation of the university.

Earlier, the Chief Executive and Registrar of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria Dr Uche Okereke, represented by the chairman of the Institute in Kwara State ,Mr Gbemiga Ayantola Malomo,had expressed confidence in the ability of the pioneer helmsman in making the university the cynosure of all eyes across the globe, within a short period of its establishment, going by his pedigree and track record of achievements, when he was the Director of Academic Planning for 9 years and Dean of Student Affairs, Kwara State University, Malete.
