Abinu Empowers Youths, Women in Adankolo, Reaffirms Commitment to Grassroots Development

Youths and women in Adankolo community, Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State, have benefited from an empowerment programme facilitated by renowned philanthropist, Amb. Coach Gabriel Abinu, as part of his continued efforts to uplift people at the grassroots.

Driven by his determination to improve the welfare of his people, Amb. Coach Abinu said the initiative was aimed at reducing hardship, promoting self-reliance, and supporting vulnerable groups within the community.

The empowerment programme, held on Sunday, attracted a large turnout of youths and women who came out en masse to witness the initiative firsthand. Beneficiaries and community members lauded the philanthropist for his consistency, generosity, and commitment to humanitarian service.

Speaking during the event, community members recalled that Amb. Coach Abinu has, over the years, empowered both young and elderly persons with cash support, paid tuition fees for indigent students, drilled boreholes to provide potable drinking water, and continually advocated for inclusive development in Lokoja Local Government Area.

“We have seen his impact over time. He has paid school fees for our children, supported families financially, and provided water for our communities. He is a man who truly cares about his people,” one of the beneficiaries said.

Another community leader described Abinu as “a distinguished son of the soil who has touched countless lives positively,” stressing that his philanthropic efforts should serve as a model for other well-meaning individuals.

“We need more people like him. His actions show that leadership is about service and compassion,” the leader added.

Expressing gratitude to the community, Amb. Coach Abinu thanked the people for their trust and support, assuring them of his continued commitment to improving their standard of living.

“I am sincerely excited and encouraged by the appreciation from my people. What we are doing may look small, but it comes from the heart. This encouragement will spur us to do even more. I remain fully committed to the betterment of my people,” he said.

While commending Governor Usman Ododo for what he described as purposeful leadership, Abinu praised the governor’s developmental strides across Kogi State and urged residents to continue supporting his administration.

“Our digital, young, and hardworking governor has continued to reposition Kogi State for greatness. His achievements so far are commendable, and he deserves the support of all Kogites,” he stated.

Amb. Coach Abinu also used the occasion to endorse Governor Ododo for a second term and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027.

“Governor Usman Ododo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu have both performed creditably. One good turn deserves another. I am lending my voice to that of progressive Kogites who want continuity and sustainable development for our state and the nation,” he added.
