Action Alliance national secretariat affirms dissolution of Bunmi Adetunji led executives in Osun

The national secretariat of the Action Alliance (AA) has affirmed the constitution of a caretaker management committee for the Osun State chapter of the party.

The development followed the dissolution of the executive of the party in the state, led by Mr Bunmi Adetunji.

The National Secretary of the party, Hon Miller Ogwu Miller in a statement directed the ousted chairman of the party, Mr Bunmi Adetunji to hand over all properties of the party in his custody to the chairman of the newly constituted caretaker committee, Mr Kazeem Araoye with immediate effect.

The party reiterated that the former executives of the party led by Mr Bunmi Adetunji remains dissolved, while the newly sworn in members of the caretaker management committee is to direct the affairs of the party in the state, pending the congress of the party.

He gave the names of the members of the caretaker management committee of the party to include Mr Kazeem Araoye (Chairman), Femi Johnson (Deputy Chairman), Yinka Oni (Secretary), Akorede Funmilayo (Women Leader), Sunday Oyedele, (Publicity Secretary), Tunde Salako (Organizing Secretary), Oyelami Adeyemi (Treasurer), Kunle Akinbiyi (Financial Secretary) and Azeez Kehinde (Welfare Officer).

The statement urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC), Osun State government, security agencies and other sister political parties to give proper recognition to the newly sworn in members of the caretaker committee.

Also, the party warned members of the public and stakeholders in the electoral system against giving recognition to Mr Bunmi Adetunji as the chairman of the party, stressing that anyone who deals with the former chairman on behalf of the party does so at his or her own peril.He added.
