Action Alliance Receives Over 2000 ADC, PDP Supporters into its fold in Kogi

Ahead of the November 11 Governorship election in Kogi state, over 2000 supporters of African Democratic Party (ADC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have decamped to the Action Alliance (AA), citing the rich programmes of the Kogi State Governorship Candidate, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh as a conviction to join the prosperity train.

The decampees are from four Local Governments in the Central Senatorial district namely; Adavi, Okehi, Ogori/Magongo and Okene Local Government Areas.

Leaders of the Decampees took turns to give reasons for the move, saying they are tired of their former party as they are interested in a leader that has the interest of the masses at heart.

Hon. Ibrahim Omonesi, former Council Leader of Adavi Local Government, who defected from PDP said he believes that the manifesto of AA will end poverty in the State.

On his part, Hon. Fidelis Sadiq, a former PDP member noted that after his experience and encounter with Braimoh, he has decided to pitch his tent with AA for the realization of his plans to the State.

Hon. Momoh Jimoh Obeito, who dumped ADC pointed out that Otunba Braimoh is the most serious candidate for the November 11th Governorship election in Kogi State, hence his determination to join AA to salvage the State from poverty.

Acting Chairman of AA, Deacon Fred Ambo while receiving the decampees, welcomed them with a call to work hard to deliver the Candidate of the Party in the next month election.

In his remarks, the AA Governorship Candidate, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh thanked the Defectors for taking the wise decision, urging them to embark on Ward to ward campaign and win more member to the Party.

According to him, with the new entrants into the Party as well as other massive endorsement, he is assured of victory at the poll.

Otunba Braimoh promised to stop dependence on Federal allocation, adding that the State can survive with its abundant resources.
