The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Shahuci Ward, Kano Municipal Local Government Area, has reaffirmed the expulsion of Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad from the party, insisting that the decision of its Ward Executive Committee remains valid and binding.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Ward leadership said Naja’atu Muhammad should no longer present herself as a member, leader, or representative of the ADC in any official capacity. It warned that any further attempt to act or speak on behalf of the party could result in legal action.

The Ward also dismissed claims that the party’s leadership structure in Kano State had been dissolved, describing such reports as false and unconstitutional. It maintained that only the party’s constitutionally recognized organs have the authority to make decisions affecting the leadership and organizational structure of the ADC.

The statement further rejected purported declarations concerning the party’s Kano State governorship candidate, Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Amin (“Little”), arguing that such actions did not follow the procedures laid down in the party’s constitution and therefore have no legal effect.

Reaffirming its commitment to internal democracy, party discipline, due process, and the rule of law, the Ward called on members, supporters, and the public to recognize only the constitutionally constituted leadership of the ADC.

Speaking on behalf of the Ward Executive Committee, a party leader said the decision was guided by the need to uphold the party’s constitution rather than target any individual. The official urged Naja’atu Muhammad to refrain from actions capable of causing confusion within the party, while maintaining that the Ward does not recognize her as having the mandate to speak or act on behalf of the ADC in Kano State.
