Address insecurity situation in Isanlu, Yagba East LGA, Sen. Karimi Tasks Commissioner of Police, Director SSS.

The Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen Sunday Karimi has called on the State Commissioner of Police, Director State Security Services to quickly address the insecurity situation in Isanlu, Yagba East LGA of the State.

Sen. Karimi made the call in a statement issued to Newsmen, lamented the insecurity in Isanlu, said within 48 hours six persons have been kidnapped, with another four persons killed while attempting to escape from the den of the kidnappers.

According to the Statement titled: “Address the security situation in Isanlu and neighbouring communities”, the Senator representing Kogi West called on the Commissioner of Police and the DG Directorate of State Security Services in the State to urgently send a team of security personnel to Isanlu Yagba East LGA to stop the kidnapping that is ongoing in the area.

“More than 6 different people have been kidnapped in the last 48 hours. Three people also lost their lives in Idofin and Isanlu in an attempt to escape from the Kidnappers den”.

Sen. Karimi commended the State Governor’s efforts in making lives and properties safe in the State, however called on the Police Commissioner and the DG SSS to rise to the occasion, do the needful in curbing the spate of kidnapping in Isanlu, Yagba East LGA.
