Adekojo Launches Bid For Ondo Guber, Says Driven By Urge To Serve

— 1st Female Aspirant To Do So

Funmilayi Adekojo, a female aspirant has thrown her hat in the ring for Ondo State governorship ticket as paid the the mandatory N50 million less fifty percent to picked the expression of interest and nomination forms, assuring that good governance would be her watch word if she emerges the next Governor of the state.

She gave the assurance soon after picking the party’s ticket Wednesday in Abuja newsmen at the APC national secretariat Wednesdays vowing to match the intimidating antics of male aspirants in race.

According to her , her ambition was instigated by service .

 

“I want to serve the people of Ondo State by giving by best, as an engineer, I will make engineers and the state proud, my focus will be education, youth employment, and utilising the state’s blue sea.

“I am a woman of the people, am close to those at the grassroots and I know what they need and will work towards meeting their needs.

“With my hard earned money, I have single handedly raised 15,000 women and youths in Akoko and Ondo State generally on skills acquisition and entrepreneurship.

“You are not a politician by just practicing politics, but by positively impacting on the lives of the people, that I had done, even as a private person,” she said.

Adekojo expressed optimism that she would emerge as the APC Ondo State governorship candidate at it primaries because said had the support of women in the state and some of its critical stakeholders.

Incumbent Aiyedatiwa, Jimo Ibrahim, Oke are some names already touted to be gunning for the big prize.
