AFIZERE NATION:SUSPEND ALL CELEBRATIONS IN MOURNING OF VICTIMS OF ATTACKS.

The Horrific Massacre of Hundreds of Plateau Citizens in Mangu,Bokkos and Barkin Ladi LGAs,have led to the Postponement of Ikoos Izere, the Famous Annual Celebration of Afizere People, which always take place on first of January,every year. Hitherto,all preparations have been concluded to stage the event, but with the slaughtering and maiming of hundreds of their Fellow brothers in the three local Governments of the state, led to the postponement of the Cultural day till further notice, the Statement signed by Mr. Bala John,the National Publicity Secretary of Afizere Cultural and Community Development Association (ACCDA) Stated that,the Association in Conjunction with the Traditional Rulers, Stakeholders and the Entire Afizere Nation, agreed to suspend forthwith the event in order to mourned the Victims of such barbaric attacks.

The Body condemned the act as man’s inhumanity to Humanity. They equally call for Unity among all the Ethnic Groups in Plateau state in order to defeat the enemy of the state.

They Urged all citizens to always be on alert.

The Youth Group. AYM have also followed same by Cancelling her gala night which is celebrated on first of January.

The Secretary of the Association,Azok Agwom signed the statement and made it available to our correspondent in Jos.

AYM Urged all her members and other citizens to pray fervently for the Peace of Plateau state and beyond.

He further called on Government to put more security measures on ground in order to protect the lives and property of the citizens.
