Again, Hon. Osaseyi Gives Scholarship To Eight FUL First Class Students

Redeems Pledge to FUL NAOS

A Philanthropist, Hon. Richard Osaseyi has given scholarships to 8 first class Students of Federal University Lokoja under his Non Governmental Organization, Osaseyi Foundation.

Hon. Osaseyi, who is also the General Manager of Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KOSSAA) redeemed his pledge to the University chapter of National Association of Okun Students (NAOS), which he made during the celebration of their Cultural Day last week.

Addressing the beneficiaries in his office on Thursday, Hon. Osaseyi stated that the scholarship was in recognition of their dexterity, hard work and dedication to studies.

According to him, the beneficiaries are students with 4.5 CGPA and above, describing the gesture as a reward for hard work.

He said the scheme will be extended to other universities in due course and urged Okun students to be focused on their academics.

Hon. Osaseyi further explained that “I was invited for their programme last week and asked for names of students of 4.5 upward and about eight of them came up and so we decided to give them scholarships for 2023.

“The motivation is to continue to compensate our best students. We must show them that we appreciate their hard work and dedication to their education and to also give back to the society.

He advised them to reciprocate the scholarship by excelling more in their academic pursuit and expressed her readiness to monitor their conduct.

In her remark, the Matron of FUL NAOS, Mrs. Agnes Ekundayo described the gesture as first of its kind and commended Hon. Osaseyi for his untiring effort in providing supports to students of Okun Origin.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Dare Toluwani expressed appreciation to the Hon. Richard Osaseyi, describing him as a Philanthropist per excellence.
