All is Set for Kogi West Political Boost as Prominent Figures Decamp to APC July 5

A significant political milestone is on the horizon in Kogi West Senatorial District as several influential political figures are set to officially decamp to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on July 5, 2025. The move is expected to reshape the region’s political dynamics, signaling the dawn of a more inclusive and strategically stronger APC.

Among those set to join the APC is Hon. Samuel Bamidele Aro, a respected political figure and former member of the House of Representatives. Known for his grassroots appeal and legislative experience, Hon. Aro’s move is seen as a major win for the APC in Kogi West.

Also joining the APC is Alhaji Abdulganiyu Salaudeen, popularly known as Erukutu, a formidable political mobilizer and respected community leader. His entrance into the party is expected to further deepen APC’s grassroots presence and electoral strength in the district.

Both leaders are not coming alone — they are bringing along their teeming supporters, further amplifying the momentum behind the APC’s growth strategy in Kogi West.

The Kogi State Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello (Dollar), welcomed the development with optimism, emphasizing the party’s commitment to openness and inclusivity. He noted that the APC remains a platform where every member can contribute meaningfully without bias or favoritism.

“The APC is a party for all. We are removing sentiments and divisions to build a solid house of progress, where everyone has a voice and a role to play,” Bello affirmed.

Organizing Committee Lays Groundwork for Grand Welcome Rally
To ensure a smooth and impactful decamping ceremony, the APC has put in place a robust Organizing Committee chaired by Alhaji Taofik Isa. The committee has been working diligently ahead of the July 5 rally, which will formally welcome the new members into the party fold.

Alhaji Isa assured party members and the general public that the rally will demonstrate APC’s capacity for growth and its readiness to embrace fresh political energy.

Leading the Media and Publicity Sub-Committee, Hon. Prince Philip Orebiyi officially announced the planned decamping on June 14, 2025, in Lokoja. He underscored the party’s commitment to transparency and effective public engagement.

“We are not just expanding; we are growing with purpose. The public deserves to know what we stand for and where we are headed,” he said.

The upcoming decamping ceremony marks a transformative moment for the APC in Kogi West. With the inclusion of strong, grassroots-connected leaders and their supporters, the party is set to consolidate its influence in the region and prepare for future political success.

As July 5 approaches, political watchers and party stakeholders are paying close attention to what may become a defining moment in Kogi West’s political evolution.
