An Open Letter To Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo To Allow The Popular Candidate Emerge In Ajaokuta LGA For The Overwhelming Victory Of APC In The Coming Elections Possible.

I write with utmost respect and deep sense of responsibility as a loyal stakeholder and committed supporter of the progressive ideals of our great party and your administration. First, permit me to commend your purposeful leadership and admirable commitment to the unity, growth, and political strength of the All Progressive Congress across Kogi State.
Your emergence as Governor and remarkable achievements has renewed hope among the people, strengthened party cohesion, and reinforced confidence in the future of our dear state. Your leadership represents continuity, stability, and progress.

Your Excellency, as preparations intensify ahead of the forthcoming elections, the importance of allowing the will of the people to prevail, particularly in the APC, Ajaokuta Local Government Area, cannot be overemphasized.
Ajaokuta remains a strategic and politically significant local government whose voting strength and influence can greatly contribute to the overall success of our party. In the last election, it was the votes from Ajaokuta LGA where the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) held an advantage, that ultimately determined the winner of the Senatorial election.
Your Excellency, the people of Ajaokuta are politically conscious, loyal to progressive leadership, and eager to support candidates they genuinely believe in. Allowing the popular and widely accepted candidate to emerge in the APC will:
1.Strengthen party unity at the grassroots level
2. Enhance voter enthusiasm and participation
3. Reduce internal conflicts and post-primary grievances
4. Guarantee overwhelming electoral victory for the APC.
5. Consolidate your legacy as a fair, just, and people-centered leader.
Your leadership has already demonstrated fairness, inclusiveness, and commitment to democratic principles.
Allowing the people’s choice to emerge will further reinforce public trust and cement your reputation as a true democrat and father to all.
Currently, there are two aspirants vying for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the House of Representatives seat representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency. They are Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, the incumbent Member of the House of Representatives, and Hon. Mohammed Idrisu Lawal, the immediate past Member.
The position of the majority of our people has become increasingly clear and emphatic. Many stakeholders believe that the current representation of Hon. Sani Egidi Abdulraheem, has not met the expectations of the constituency in terms of visible development, unity within the party, and effective leadership.
There is a growing sentiment among constituents that the level of impact and engagement expected from the office has not been sufficiently realized.
In contrast, Hon. Mohammed Idrisu Lawal is widely remembered for his impactful and people-oriented representation. His tenure was marked by visible achievements and meaningful interventions that positively affected the lives of youths, women, political leaders, community stakeholders, and traditional institutions across the constituency.
Today, voices from across all segments of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency are united in their call for his return to the Green Chamber.
This call is rooted in the belief that his experience, inclusive leadership style, and proven commitment to the welfare of the people will restore effective representation and advance the collective interest and development of the constituency.
Your Excellency, the strength of our party lies in the confidence of the people. When the people are heard, they respond with loyalty. When they are respected, they respond with overwhelming support.
I humbly appeal to your good conscience and exemplary leadership to ensure that the process in Ajaokuta Local Government Area reflects the genuine will of the people. This singular decision will not only secure victory in the coming elections but will also strengthen the foundation of the APC for many years to come.
