Anti – Party Activities worse than Armed Robbery – Barr. Bello.

A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress in Kogi State who is the Director General, Okun United for Ododo/Joel Project and former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Alfred Bello has described anyone involved in anti-party activities as worst than an armed robber.

He disclosed this over the weekend, when some youths paid him a courtesy call in his house in Kabba metropolis after the unveiling of Okun United for Ododo/Joel Support Group.

He advised the upcoming politicians not to build their political career on ethnicity, religion or selfish interests .

According to him, he left the main opposition party, PDP because of the arrogance of the candidate who has no respect for his fellow human being.

He noted that his name was removed twice from National assignment by the PDP candidate and he showed no remorse while still boasting to do worse if he still had the opportunity.

He said the candidate erroneously believed that he, Alfred Bello, did not support him to win the Senate Primary, hence vowed to get at him anytime the opportunity provided itself.

“I honorably left the PDP because I knew I will no longer work for the party because the candidate has dampened my morale, so instead of doing Anti – Party the best option is to leave the party and since I believe it would not be wise to leave to another opposition party, I decided to join the ruling party” he said.

“Those who know me know that I will not work against my party’s candidate. I don’t believe in Anti -party and I will not encourage it because my political mentors (Late Olushola Saraki and late Arc Stephen Olorunfemi) of blessed memories never taught me that.”

He recalled that in 2015 his brother of the same parents contested for the State House of Assembly under Labour Party and he worked and voted in favor of the PDP candidate. (Prince Matthew Kolawole) immediate past Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly in the same unit, because he believes loyalty to the party must always be the utmost priority of every politician.

Responding on behalf of the Youth group,  Kayode Ojo said they have come to pledge their loyalty and give every assurances that they will vote en masse for the APC candidate, if not for anything but because of the State University recently established in Kabba.

They prayed for Governor Yahaya Bello to succeed and that Okun Governorship is inevitable for Kogi West after Ododo must have finished his tenure.
