By Bala Salihu Dawakin kudu

The APC Ambassadors 44 Local Governments of Kano State has extended profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the recent appointment of Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development. Recognizing the move as a welcome development, the group noted that Ata’s appointment underscores the President’s commitment to inclusivity and strategic governance under his Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria.

The appointment has been met with broad appreciation from various factions within the APC in Kano State, including over 500 political groups, market women, business people, and youth organizations, all united under the APC Ambassadors 44 Local Governments banner.

They hailed Ata as a leader of exceptional caliber, experience, and wisdom, and a politician whose alignment with Kano’s grassroots makes him an invaluable asset. They believe Ata’s involvement will significantly strengthen the APC in Kano, particularly in the influential Kano Central, which remains a key APC stronghold.

The selection of Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, a distinguished son of Fagge Local Government, is viewed as a powerful step toward ensuring Kano Central’s needs and aspirations are represented at the federal level. APC Ambassadors emphasized that Ata’s deep-rooted connection with his people, coupled with his dedication to public service, makes him an ideal candidate for this pivotal role. His appointment serves as a testament to President Tinubu’s recognition of Kano’s significance on the national stage and an indication of a proactive approach toward reinforcing APC’s presence in the region.

With over two million APC members, the APC Ambassadors 44 Local Governments assured President Tinubu of their support for the 2027 elections. They urged the President to retain Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as APC National Chairman to further consolidate the party’s influence in the North. They noted that Ata’s ministerial role would inspire Kano residents to rally behind the President, recognizing Ata as a trusted leader who resonates with their needs.

Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata’s political journey is marked by a commitment to growth and development in Kano. As a representative of Fagge Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, Ata championed fiscal responsibility and governance reforms. Later, as Speaker of the House, he earned respect for his legislative accomplishments, which addressed critical issues in healthcare, disability rights, and judicial reform. His leadership fostered transparency and unity, solidifying his standing as a visionary policymaker.

Ata’s role in APC campaigns was instrumental in boosting support and achieving historic voter turnout in the 2023 elections. His influence at the grassroots level in Kano is unmatched, and his appointment as Minister is not only an acknowledgment of his dedication but a strategic decision that reinforces APC’s foundation in Kano.

The APC Ambassadors 44 Local Governments of Kano State celebrated Ata’s selection, viewing it as a step that empowers a region vital to national elections. They believe Kano Central’s federal representation will enhance APC’s influence, as Ata’s vision aligns closely with the region’s aspirations.

As the APC looks toward the future, the group is confident that Ata’s leadership will bring dividends to Kano, the APC, and Nigeria. They assured President Tinubu that Ata is prepared to drive the Renewed Hope Agenda, specifically in housing and urban development, where his dedication will yield transformative results. His commitment to building affordable Renewed Hope Cities and Estates aims to ensure decent housing for every Nigerian, reflecting the broader aspirations of Tinubu’s administration.

In closing, the APC Ambassadors 44 Local Governments of Kano State reiterated their support for President Tinubu’s choice, commending his insight in selecting a leader like Ata. His appointment is not only a beacon of hope for Kano but also a step toward a stronger, more inclusive future for Nigeria.
