APC Chieftain, Meseko, Mourns Late Obajemu of Oweland, Commiserates with Governor Ododo and Obaro of Kabba
The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of the Obajemu of Oweland, Oba Michael Ibinaiye.
In a formal statement released on Friday, Hon. Meseko described the transition of the traditional ruler as a significant loss to the Oweland traditional council and the people of Kogi State at large.
Hon. Meseko extended his heartfelt sympathies to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo: commiserating with the Executive Governor on the loss of a vital custodian of culture within the state.
He also offered condolences to the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, and the Chairman of the Okun Traditional Council over the departure of a distinguished member of the royalty; sharing in the grief of the community as they mourn a leader known for his dedication to his subjects.
“Late Oba Michael Ibinaiye was a man of peace and a pillar of traditional wisdom. His contributions to the stability and cultural heritage of Oweland will be greatly missed.”, he stated.
The APC chieftain offered prayers for the eternal repose of the late monarch’s soul, asking for divine strength for the family to bear the irreparable loss. He noted that the legacy of the late Obajemu would continue to serve as a beacon for the community.
The passing of Oba Ibinaiye marks the end of an era for the people of the Oweland, as the community prepares to honor the life and times of their departed ruler.
