APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary Expresses Delight at the defection of Tonto Dikeh to APC
A Prominent Nollywood Actress and former Deputy Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress(ADC) in Rivers State defected to the All Progressives Congress.
The National Headquarters of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja witnessed jubilation as Tonto Dikeh came visiting to officially declare her defection to the party.
The Prominent Nollywood Actress and former Deputy Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress(ADC) in Rivers State was accompanied by several friends and associates, and was joined by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Durosinmi Meseko for the declaration at the office of the National Women Leader, Dr. Mary Alile Idele.
In her address, Ms Tonto Dikeh said she was merely returning home and that her political sojourn outside the party for a while was an indication of the errors youthful exuberance could cause. She pledged to work with the National Women Leader to ensure enhanced participation of women and the youth in the party. She lauded the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu pointing out that it is just a matter of time for Nigerians to start reaping the benefits.
Hon. Durosinmi Meseko who described Tonto Dikeh as a “big fish” in his remark expressed his joy with the return of Tonto Dikeh to the APC as it is the actualization of efforts he has put in with others while assuring the National Women Leader of the capacity of Tonto Dikeh to bring value to the party.
The National Women Leader of APC, Dr. Mary Alile Idele welcomed Ms. Tonto Dikeh and expressed her readiness to work with her.
