APC Endorsement of President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori a Welcome Development
— Obule

By Wilson Macaulay

WARRI

Senioial Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Comrade Francis Obule, JP, has described
the recent endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, by key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as “a welcome development that reflects unity of purpose and a clear commitment to continued delivery of good governance.”

Hon Francis Obule made the remarks in Warri, while reacting to growing support from APC leaders and party structures in Delta State for both President Tinubu’s second-term bid and the leadership style of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, particularly in light of the recent flag-off of the Effurun–Sapele–Benin road reconstruction.

According to him, the endorsement sends “a strong signal of political maturity and patriotic collaboration” in a time when Nigerians are yearning for results rather than rhetoric.

“This is not about party lines,” Obule said. “This is about leadership that delivers. President Tinubu is leading the country with courage and reforms, while Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is transforming Delta State with visible, people-centered projects. It is only natural for right-thinking citizens to commend and support such synergy.”

Effurun –Sapele–Benin Road: A Project Long Overdue

Obule particularly praised the Governor for taking bold steps to commence the reconstruction of the failed portions of the Effurun –Sapele–Benin road — a strategic corridor connecting Delta and Edo States, long described as a death trap due to years of neglect.

The ₦35.7 billion contract, awarded to China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), covers a 10-kilometre stretch from the Effurun Spare Parts Market U-turn to the Ohore Junction near Omenta Bridge.

> “This road has caused untold hardship to our people — commuters, traders, transporters, and entire communities have suffered. Today, Governor Oborevwori has not only listened, he has acted. That is leadership,” Obule said.

The Senior Special Assistant added that the project, which includes full dualization, reinforced concrete pavement, and stormwater drainage, would drastically reduce accidents, travel time, and operational costs for road users.

‘Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda Working Beyond Expectation

Hon Comrade Francis Obule said the Governor’s MORE Agenda — Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security — is no longer just a campaign promise but a visible template for development.

> “We are seeing schools renovated, roads reconstructed, peace restored, and new opportunities being created for the youth. This is why even APC members and stakeholders can confidently support the Governor’s approach. Development has no political colour,” he said.

Commending Tinubu’s Leadership

Obule equally lauded President Tinubu for his bold economic reforms, infrastructure drive, and commitment to federal-state partnerships.

Call for Continued Support

Obule the SSA called on all political actors, across party lines, to rally behind both the President and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to ensure sustained peace and progress in the state and the country at large.

> “This endorsement is timely, it is well-deserved, and it is a call to action. We must set politics aside when the interest of the people is at stake. I am proud to serve under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori who is setting a new pace in governance, and I remain committed to working for the peace and prosperity of Delta State,” Obule concluded
