The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its ongoing electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026, in response to appeals from party stakeholders nationwide.
The decision was reached at the 183rd meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, held on Friday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
The extension, initially scheduled to end on January 31, is aimed at allowing more supporters and members to register and validate their membership on the party’s digital platform.
In the same vein, the NWC approved adjustments to the party’s internal election timetable. Ward Congresses will now take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, while the National Convention has been rescheduled for March 27–28, 2026.
However, Osun State, Ekiti State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were exempted from the scheduled congresses due to impending elections, while Rivers State was excluded owing to the subsisting tenure of its current state executive committee.
The committee also constituted the National Convention Planning Committee, signaling preparations for the party’s highest decision-making gathering.
According to the party, full details of the revised congress timetable, schedule of activities, and the composition of the National Convention Planning Committee will be made public in due course.
