APC Presents Additional 7 witnesses to Prove Case.

APC Presents Additional 7 witnesses to Prove Case.

The Petition of Dr. Nentawe Yilwada Versus Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of the People’s Democratic party (PDP),today continues with the presentation of more witnesses,the matter came up for continuation of Hearing.

The Petitioners via her lead Counsel,told the court that they still have about seventeen witnesses.

They earlier indicated at the prehearing that they will present about one hundred and seventy two while the Second respondent,Dr. Caleb Mutfwang said they have one hundred and twenty eight witnesses.

The lead Counsel to the second respondents . P.A Akubo,told the tribunal they will reduced the number of their Witnesses but are waiting to see the number that will be presented by the Petitioners.

With the time frame,it will not be possible for the parties to call the witnesses they indicated to present in the defence of their cases.

The Petitioners may close their case this week.

The Witnesses who testified at the tribunal on Monday includes Dashe Bindam Shaldong,a retired civil servant,live in Limun Bwarat in Lantang North LGA,he complained of over voting in some polling units of his ward.

Denis Duksuk said he live in Poediel,Shandam LGA,he made reference to the Polling Unit result of 013 and Panshom registration area.

Joseph Kalom,who told the tribunal that he hailed from Katlong in Shandam LGA.

Told the tribunal that before he adopt his statement on oath,his polling unit result is 008 not 001 as is reflecting on his witness statement.

The first and second respondents objected to the amendment and reserved their argument to the appropriate time while the third respondents did not object. The tribunal granted the application and the amendment was made.

Mr. Edward Angulu from Kwande in Quan’Pan LGA also testified in respect of his ward collation agent.

The Petitioners also called Mr. Seldul Lohdam who came from Tangwat ward of Langtang South LGA ,the witness made a complain of the result of his poling unit of Timfin 004 of Twangat ward.

The Counsel to the Petitioners, Mathew Kukah SAN also led Mr. Daden William Dean in examination in chief. He hails from Quan’Pan LGA and made a complain of his ward,Dokman Complong.

Mr. Simon Yahnan of Gamakai ward of Langtang South took his turn to testified.

The witnesses were painstakingly cross examined by the Counsel to the first,second and third respondents.

The Cross Examination was centered mainly on the issues of over voting and cancellation of over voting.

The matter was adjourned to Tuesday,11-7-2023, for the continuation of trial.
