Armed Robbers Cart Away 100KVA Generator From 95 Degree Event Center in Kabba, Tie Security Guard

By Our Correspondent

Armed robbers have reportedly carted away a 100KVA Jubin generator belonging to 95 Degree Event Center in Kabba, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

According to information made available to our reporter, the incident occurred in the early hours of October 1, 2026, when the suspected armed robbers stormed the event centre at about 12:30 a.m.

The source disclosed that the robbers reportedly jumped over the fence into the premises and located the security guard on duty, whom they allegedly tied up and threatened to shoot if he refused to cooperate with them.

After overpowering the security guard, the robbers reportedly broke the gate and drove a Hiab vehicle into the premises before proceeding to remove the 100KVA generator from where it was installed.

The operation was said to have lasted for more than three hours, during which the security guard remained restrained.

Sources said the suspects eventually succeeded in removing the generator and escaped from the premises with it.

The incident has since been reported to the Nigeria Police in Kabba, while investigation is ongoing to unravel the identities of those behind the theft and recover the stolen generator.

Meanwhile, the management said that despite the theft of its generator, its services would not be affected, as temporary arrangements had been made to provide power supply during its already scheduled events for this weekend.

As of the time of filing this report, no arrest had been made in connection with the incident.
