Country commissioner of Babe Ruth League Nigeria, Prince Imonikhe John Peter, reflected on Nigeria’s performance in the tournament, emphasizing the valuable experience gained by the team. As the only African country to participate in the competition, Nigeria’s presence served as a testament to the country’s growing presence in the international baseball community.

“We have come and we have participated and we have learnt so much,” said Imonikhe. “We are going back to the drawing board and you will see a different Nigeria in 2026.”

Imonikhe praised the efforts of the Nigerian Babe Ruth League leadership, including President Gideon Ayodele, Head of delegation Dr. James Asagunla, and Secretary Ambrose Ozimede, for their dedication to the team’s success. He also acknowledged the coaches, parents, and players for their hard work and commitment throughout the tournament.

Special recognition was given to Dr. Bakare, Engr. Olujimi, and Mr. Omotayo Batez for their support at the Hot Spring Arkansas center, as well as Mr. YK Olayemi for his unwavering support of the team.

As Team Tallahassee celebrates their victory in the Babe Ruth League World Series, Team Nigeria looks ahead to next year’s competition with renewed determination and a commitment to improving their performance. With a strong support system behind them, the Nigerian team is poised to make a statement in the international baseball community in the years to come.
